Following the footsteps of Abram
There are days where I've got little to talk about but a lot of time to talk about it, and then there are days where I've got a lot of stuff to talk about but not have enough time to talk about them. Today is the latter. Blame the almost half an hour wait for the traffic to subside, then the almost two hour commute. Traffic was a killer, while I was fortunate enough to have a seat in the bus (I rode the bus where the bus turns before it begins its return route), the space was so cramped I couldn't stretch my legs; at one point I even had this strong urge to stand just so I could feel my legs or something. It was punishing, the traffic.
It was great though that today I had quite a lot of things going for me. First is that I was able to attend my Bible Study group AND the Bible Study group of the newbies of FORMDEV, out faith community in the University. I always feel so refreshed after every session; you'd think it'd be tiring to attend two, but it was the opposite actually! Although I think I really have to control my impluses to joke around sometimes >_< while it's nice to have an active Bible Study, I think I tend to make the sessions longer than they should. We get to discuss more things, but I tend to annoy the Bible Study leader a bit XD
I was also able to make the slides for our C Programming Tutorial for Manila Science High School (MSHS) students today. While it might seem quite trivial, as I've been teaching programming to university students anyway, it was the first time I had to do the Life of St. La Salle portion of the slides. See, for our tutorials, my adviser would use up the closing minutes of the time to discuss the life of St. La Salle. It's nice because we get to expose MSHS students to the life of the founder of our Institution and I can see that the students like the stories my adviser tells them anyways. I just wish I could do the same tomorrow, since my adviser wouldn't be around this time to do that.
Well, in God's grace I trust. Here's to hoping tomorrow would be a great and probably less draining day!
