Working together on something with my girlfriend makes me all giddy and happy :)
I know my blog has recently been filled with books, books and more books, but I really can't help it! The tiangge is in two or three weeks, and my girlfriend has decided to prioritize the miniature books since she thinks it'd sell better than the other things we would be selling. Of course, I am more than happy to oblige since I like making miniatures like this, but yeah, most of my weekends would be devoted to making these. At least until the tiangge.
I cannot complain though, because I'm really genuinely glad to have worked with my girlfriend on something. I know we make a good time, in theory, because some of my skills compliments hers and we can be both creative if we put our minds to it (she more than me XD) but we really haven't worked on something this hands on together, and I'm glad it all worked out exceptionally well.
See, I really don't like cutting the pages of the book. I'm not really good at cutting consistently, nor am I patient at doing it repeatedly. I'd rather glue the pages together once they're all cut. My girlfriend is apparently good at cutting consistently, and her attention to detail far surpasses mine in this regard. The pages she cut were better than my best (something of a running joke of the day between the two of us, since I tried complimenting her by telling her what she did was better than my worst, haha), and so the resulting book is much much more straight and professional looking than what I could have done on my own.
I enjoyed the day today tremendously. It's been a great bonding experience with the woman I love the most, and a productive one at that. We might do this again some other time this week, so perhaps expect to see more book making posts with my girlfriend in the next few days. For now though, I should get some rest.
Have a blessed Sunday tomorrow!
