What better way to begin a new project than by sharing a photo taken during our most recent retreat.
The retreat began 3 days ago, culminating on September 8, 2013. We reflected on the life of the founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle (whose surname is actually pronounced duh la-sohl) and we learned a lot of new things about him. My friends acted out scenes from La Salle's life that were unfamiliar to most, and we drew from these scenes principles about how God's will manifested in them.
What we discovered as the underlying theme behind the principles was that La Salle was human; he had many struggles and difficulties too in following God's will. But it was his remarkable faith and extraordinary love for God that set him apart, which is why I think Romans 8:28 is so relevant.
Trials and difficulties lie in path of a believer, whether from others or even from one's own mistakes, and it's easy to lose one's way. But Romans 8:28 promises that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him", that at the end of the journey, following Him would always be rewarding.
Have a blessed Sunday!
