Day 15: Rainy Day and Gathering Blue

Finally gonna get to reading this book.

Today had been a very gloomy and rainy day; you can almost say this day has been rather blue. Gathering Blue. Right? Right? :D

Um, yeah. Today had been rather uneventful. Rain had been pouring since morning and it's been really cool and cozy; all I wanted to do the whole day was sleep. When I eventually woke up (rather late, around 1PM already), it was so cold I thought I left the air conditioning on. Only when I tried to turn it off did I realize I had it off the whole time!

So yeah, didn't really got to do much today. I watched the Mineski vs Fnatic match to see what the fuss was about (Mineski and Fnatic are League of Legends Pro Teams that I'm a fan of), since everybody was talking about it in Reddit and in Facebook, but other than that, there wasn't much. We attended mass at around 8PM, then did some groceries, ate in one if the restaurants in the mall, then that was it really.

Since I don't want this day to go to waste, I decided to read a book I've always wanted to read. Entitled Gathering Blue, this book is the second book by Lois Lowry that I will be reading, the first being The Giver which I immensely enjoyed. This is actually not my book, this is my girlfriend's copy of the book. She currently has my copy of The Giver, though I don't know if she has read that book yet.

I remember the time when we discovered we had these books, I having The Giver and she having Gathering Blue. I was talking to her on the phone about how I loved the book my brother bought (The Giver) and she asked who the author was. When I mentioned the author (or when I mentioned she had another book entitled Gathering Blue, I don't quite remember anymore), she said she also had Gathering Blue. That was more than a decade ago.

Fast forward to tonight. So yeah. I finally got to read this book. Here's to hoping I'd enjoy it as much as I enjoyed The Giver as well!

Have a (hopefully not so rainy) Monday tomorrow!
