No matter how cheap the food is or how unimpressive the table settings are, a dinner partaken with friends would still be the best kind of dinner in my book!
Today had been a productive (and a rather mischievous) day for me. White I wasn't able to make it to the Parent-Teacher's Forum held this morning and afternoon (I was late for the morning session and I asked if I should go to the afternoon one, but I was told they wouldn't be discussing anything related to my subject, and that I only handled one section anyway the previous term), I used the time to do some development work on my consultancy project. I think I have mentioned this a few times in the past; it's basically a World Bank sanctioned website that would aid in the inventory and bookkeeping of Persistent Organic Pollutants in the Philippines. It's a noble goal, but the project has been going on for some time already; it pays well but I'm really hoping I could close this project very very soon.
I also have another consultancy project in the pipeline, which I hope wouldn't be as heavy on me as I would not be doing a lot of coding and development on it. I'd be the project head though and would be the liaison between the developers and the client, so I hope this project turns out better than my former projects. It'd cement my resolve with regards to taking consultancy work, and improve my confidence as a project head as well, so I'm really hoping for a great turn-out. I was able to meet with my developers for this project and thank God they both seemed very eager and excited to work on it. Here's to hoping that I could help them keep the enthusiasm throughout the development cycle of this new project.
I parenthetically mentioned that today was also quite a mischievous day for me. Every once in a while, a force stirs inside me, wakes up and begins playing pranks on my friends. Today had been one of those times; times when this trickster side of mine just takes over and goes full blown annoying (hopefully in a funny way, not in a pull-my-hair-out annoying way). I was pulling the USB cables of mice and keyboards, and attaching extra mice which I would then use to scroll up and down rapidly via the mouse wheel; I don't know why but I felt compelled to play pranks on my friends today. XD
My magnum opus for the day would have to be when I secretly took photos of a friend who claims to be a bit of a Jollibee hater (or, more accurately, a Gerald Anderson hater; Gerald being one of the main celebrity sponsors of Jollibee) eating Jollibee food. She claims she couldn't resist because it was free (some other friend had paid for her meal), but she seemed to actually enjoy the food. Here is one of the pictures I took; posting it here to her highly probable chagrin, hehehe. Perhaps my magnum opus for the day isn't quite finished after all! XD
Have a blessed Sunday tomorrow, hopefully you get to spend time with your friends and family as well!
