Day 19: Bible Study and Another Tiring (But Fun!) Day

Our Bible Study Leader (for the day) did a great job explaining such a difficult book

I probably have not talked about before of the Bible Studies my faith community in University hold. Scheduled weekly, these Bible Studies have always been a great way to recharge after a tiring day, as we often hold these in the evenings. In these Bible Studies, we try to read and understand books in the Bible, beginning with John (a fantastic starting point when reading the Bible), then to Acts, Romans, the Short Letters, Revelations then to Genesis and the Old Testament Books. This afternoon, I attended the group that studies Genesis.

Such a heavy book it was to process, despite having very familiar stories! I guess it's because of the familiarity of the stories itself that causes it to be quite difficult to truly digest understand especially if you really want to find out the deeper truth of things, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, our Bible Study leader for the day did a very amicable job, even if she was actually only substituting for our Bible Study leader who wasn't available due to a schedule conflict (it got resolved anyway, so next week, he would be our Bible Study leader).

Before this however, and after my grueling sequence of classes (just two, but it straddles midday so I never quite have enough time to eat a proper lunch), I was finally able to have my clearance processed (and my clearance pay obtained, yay to that!), and I got my Bebapay Card (the new prepaid payment system  being implemented in our Uni) which has free 200 pesos of load. I'm quite thankful for these graces I received today, I hope I'd be able to budget them properly since the Uni has not actually given me my contract for the term yet (which means I will not have actual pay until after it has been signed, or I think that's how it works).

I was also able to meet and have dinner with my girlfriend today, which was a very welcome respite (along with the Bible Study) from the hectic schedules I've been having recently. I really wish I could see her more often, especially now, but we both have rather full schedules at the moment, so I'd just have to be patient.

Good things come to those who wait, so they say!

Anyway, tomorrow I would have to be in the University by 9 in the morning, when I thought I could have a day off. It's for an interesting cause anyway (it's for the Objectives Based Education seminar the faculty is holding), so I don't quite mind too much. I would still have to start early, so I guess I should call it a day for now.

Have a nice day!
